Each of the different things/events listed above has the ability to strike a severe blow to us in life. And they do. Often times, these things happen to us and it causes us to lose our momentum. It slows you down. Stifles you. Causes you to “throw up both your hands” and say “forget it.” “I’m done with this.” “I can’t do this anymore.” Sounds familiar? Of course it does.
Quitting is so easy to do. You simply just stop. Move on to the next thing. However, some have had ENOUGH and just do nothing! They pretty much just give up on life, it seems. They blow with the wind. Their attitude says “It’s whatever.” Sadly, many of these people never gain their second wind. They never get that momentum back.
Well, my friends, I’ve started this blog because I want to push you to BEGIN AGAIN! Take a look at those 7 events at the beginning of this blog. Go ahead. Scroll up. Many of you have dealt with one, two….maybe all of those things! It’s pushed you to a place where you just want to quit and never start again. Let me encourage you and say that today isn’t a good day to quit! Tomorrow’s not looking good either. Understand that things in this life are (1) allowed by God and (2) sometimes are the results of our own actions. Either way, if you’re still breathing, there’s enough fight in you to have a new beginning!
This is a blog, not a sermon, so I’ll wrap it up (LOL)
Never let a situation, like those listed above, take the life out of you. The Lord sends rain upon the just as well as the unjust. My Co-Pastor, Dr. Linda Stennis said this: “How can we get mad at what God allows?!” If He allowed it to happen, He’ll also give you grace to withstand it! You CAN have a new beginning! Start now. Right this minute! You’re anointed to try again!!!
Get up in the morning and begin taking steps to get your life back! Take it one day at a time. Pray and move. Pray and move. Pray and move. You’ve got to get up and get back out there! BEGIN AGAIN!
I hope this blog has encouraged you. If so, please share this with your family and friends. Share it with someone who seems lost, hopeless, in despair. Lamentations 3:23 says that God’s mercies are afresh, they’re new every morning. And if His mercies are new, YOU can be new! Let them know that they too can begin again!
See ya next week…
(next week’s topic: I’ve started, now what?)
